What data we process
- Contact form and email: your name, email address and message, used only to answer you.
- Analytics: pseudonymised usage statistics (pages viewed, approximate region, device type) via Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics.
- Server logs: IP address and browser data, kept briefly for security and troubleshooting.
Cookies and consent
We use functional cookies that are necessary for the site to work, and — only with your consent — analytics and marketing cookies. Consent is collected and stored by Cookiebot, loaded through Google Tag Manager. You can change or withdraw your choice at any time via the cookie settings link in the consent banner.
Partner and affiliate links
Some links to hotels, tickets and tours are partner links. If you book through them we may receive a commission at no extra cost to you. The partner (for example Tiqets or a booking platform) becomes responsible for the data you enter on their website under their own privacy policy.
Legal basis and retention

- Legitimate interest for security logging and for running the website.
- Contact messages are kept for up to 24 months, then deleted.
Your rights
You can ask us for access to your data, correction, deletion, restriction or transfer, and you can object to processing. Email info@visitleiden.com and we will respond within 30 days. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens).
