Why we like it
A handful of individually decorated rooms, high ceilings, antique furniture and a courtyard garden. Breakfast is generous and served late enough for holiday mornings, and the owners know the city inside out.
Location and getting there
- In the Pieterskwartier, the oldest quarter of Leiden.
- 12 minutes' walk from Leiden Centraal station.
- Museum De Lakenhal, Rijksmuseum van Oudheden and the canals are all within five minutes on foot.
- Bus 854 to Keukenhof leaves from the station side of the city.
Good to know
The building is a listed monument, so expect stairs rather than lifts. Cars are best left in one of the covered city car parks; the centre is largely car-free.
